Manuscript Submissions
The standard method for having a manuscript considered by a publisher is to first submit it to an established literary agent, a process that can take months, even years. BillyFish Books believes in a quicker, more direct connection between author and reader. We welcome author submissions in the following non-fiction categories: adventure, travel, inspirational, motivational, environmental, children's, and animal.
Please use the link provided to email your submission (we try to be earth friendly). All hard copy submissions received via snail mail will be sent directly to the recycling bin.
Include:
- The title of your manuscript along with "manuscript submission" in the subject heading.
- A brief one- to two-page synopsis in the body of the email. No attachments please! Tell us your motivation and credentials for writing the book.
- A short biography or resume that lists any previously published work.
DO NOT include your manuscript at this time. If interested, we will request it. We get many submissions, so please resist the temptation to call us. We will contact you within 30 days of your synopsis submission if we want to read more.
